I stopped in to a Panago pizza today (in Vancouver) as my dd has recently outgrown her tomato allergy :D .

My daughter currently has a severe nut/peanut allergy and is borderline on shellfish.

He had a very thick store manual which we went thru, that listed not the ingredients exactly, but a breakdown of possible allergens in their dough, dusting flour, various crusts, etc. They don't even use pine nuts in their pesto sauce.

I inquired as to the procedures for the shellfish, and was told that staff is required to wash up after handling any seafood, and there are two seperate cutting boards, as well as two seperate cutters used for fish, and non fish pizzas.

He told me to inform the switchboard when ordering and a flag comes up on the order slip at each individual location allerting them of an allergy. He said he has dealt with customers with dairy allergies as well.

I left feeling quite confident that they "get it", and we just had pizza from there for the first time! (Well, first time for my daughter  ).
