After witnessing what happened to my DD with eggs, I did this when my DS was young (a couple of picnics). He is now just about 6 feet tall so that was a long time ago. I didn't talk about it with anyone (except family)cause when I did mention it to our family doctor, he kind of brushed it all off as kind of silly that I would think this way. I knew no one else that was dealing with anaphylaxis(it would have been nice to have company). Things have changed...with the growing number of allergies I think this is a good idea, especially if there is a history in the family. It's not like it's those chickenpox laced lollipops.-the people that are doing that are flirtin'w disaster.(although,I do remember pox parties (pre immunization time).

Myself - Seasonal, cats
dd-asthma (trigger - flu) anaphylactic to eggs, severe allergies to bugspray and penicilin, pulmicort
ds-Seasonal, cats and OAS
dh-allergy cats, bugspray and guava, outgrew egg allergy

Problem is, most people don't react the first time they eat an allergen. The first time sensitizes you.

self: allergy to sesame seeds and peanuts
3 sons each with at least one of the following allergies: peniciilin, sulfa-based antibiotic, latex, insect bites/stings
