I was in England recently, and had a lovely time.

I flew via UsAirways. They no longer serve peanuts, and while they do have some tree nuts available for purchase, the crew was willing to avoid serving them in my area. I brought my own food, of course, and wiped down the seats and seat handles with the wipes I'd brought with me. No problem whatsoever.

In London, I stayed at the Base2Stay hotel in Kensington. I found it to be very clean, and it has a small kitchenette including a mini-fridge, a sink, and a microwave. Also a good experience. The hotel does not allow pets. Also helpful is the fact that the hotel is located about two blocks away from a Sainsbury's supermarket, making it possible to buy and prepare (as much as possible in a microwave) your own meals. Although a stove would have been lovely, I was able to eat well. I'd packed small tins of salmon in my checked luggage for times when I knew I wouldn't be able to access safe food, and that really came in handy. A great trip! If anyone has any questions, please feel free to PM.

Nice to hear you had a good time. I know that area very well and the Sainsbury's supermarket there is massive. Their own-brand products have excellent allergen labelling.

I will check out UsAirways. I am really fed up with Air Canada.
