With our unseasonably warm winter, there are flowers blooming all over the place already. I'm sneezing like crazy today and don't think it's due to a cold. Anyone else have hayfever symptoms already? Gosh, it's only February!

How is this affecting the Olympics?

When I first read your post, I thought 'well MY hayfever doesn't affect the Olympics much cuz I'm just a spectator at one event', then I realized you were talking about the mild weather affecting the Olympics! Ha ha.

Well, there was hardly any snow on Cypress, a local mountain where a bunch of the events are being held, and at first they trucked it in, and closer to the beginning of the games, they had to helicopter in snow! It was a concern, but it has turned out fine. The last few days have been sunny during the day, and frostly over night, which I think has helped, and the sunny days have been perfect for tourists walking around our beautiful city! DH and I went for his bday/Valentine's dinner tonight, then walked around to see the festivities downtown tonight - there is an amazing positive vibe in the city, that's for sure! DH's friend who is here from TO with Sportsnet said if the weather continues, everyone is going to want to move here (and I added 'until they see our real estate prices!')

You have unseasonably mild weather and the continental USA is covered in snow!

I'm not surprised about the asthma though. Without the snow, you get snow mold and as you say the flowers are blooming. Yuck!
