We give my son Reactine for Kids for his seasonal allergies, but I find it makes him sleepy and somewhat lethargic. I even give it to him before bed, and not am conservative in dosing (giving him the 12 hour dosage) to help. I spoke to his allergist who has suggested Aerius for Kids -- just wondering what others thoughts on this are? Are any of you currently giving your kids Aerius for seasonal allergies? Any side effects?

We do give her Aerius. It works for us and it doesn't seem to make her sleepy.
We have to use it when we visit my mother in Hamilton.

We use Aerius. We switched last year and we noticed no side effects. My husband feels that he gets better symptom relief from Aerius so that was the main reason for our switch. The pharmacist didn't think it would make a difference but I think it does work better for her. My husband and daughter suffer with the same seasonal allergies.

I think it's definitely worth a try.
I give my son Reactine with no side effects at all. No-one can even tell the difference. He's his normal energetic self.
The thing with any medication is that it will react differently in different people.
I say give it a try and see how it effects him.

I sure hope that your son finds relief with the Aerius without all the side effects that he was experiencing with the Reactine. Good luck! :D
