Our 10 year old daughter has never even been on antibiotics, she was our stress free 'never been sick' child. The past three days she's now broken out 4x with saucer size red itchy rashes (usually three at a time all on different limbs areas etc.) which are covered in hives. I assume environmental but from anything I read symptoms should be itchy throat, runny nose, watery eyes etc. and she has non of those symptoms. Her rashes each time have been in varied places on her legs and arms, a tiny bit on her temple last night.
Our son is at the allergist in 2 weeks so hopefully he will see our daughter also at that time.

any suggestions. ??

?almost sounds like psoriasis or ezcema. Yes, ask the allergist. She might get allergy relief from an over the counter medication or she might need a cortizone cream. How long do the rashes last?

The rashes seem to stay and remain itchy until I give benadry. then in about 15 min. all is clear. I'm sure the school secretary thought I was heartless, they called saying she was ok but they were sure she had an allergic reaction. I went to the school and when I saw it was 'just' the same bizarre rash hives she had the previous day I must have looked oddly happy and relieved. I just whipped out my benadryl and situation controlled :D

My daughter drew a picture at school for mother's day of me wearing a cape and armed with my benadryl and epipen, it said Word's Best Allergy Mama.

Could these be some type of bug bite? Are they happening while she is outside? My daughter really swells up from bug bites. I always have to tell the teachers that she doesn't have hives but that they are just bites.
