Hey All, I am new here. I have developed an anaphylactic allergy to Shrimp/Shell fish. But I recently had some organic bread that contained sea salt. I was feeling very OFF, but not as sever a reaction as with the past shellfish reactions. Anyone else avoiding Sea Salt in products? Or am I being to careful here?? |

I am shell fish allergic and use sea salt at home. More than one brand as well, no problem. If it is an allergy I don't think it is related to shell fish or there is something I don't know and have just been lucky. |

Same goes for me. Although mostly I use Kosher salt, so that really couldn't have shellfish. |

There is a specialty salt that could cause a problem. There is a "pinkish" salt that comes from "growing" the salt where tiny pink shrimps grow in that environment. (ok, sounds kind of weird and gross... but that's how it is ![]() |
