Talking Allergies

Any recommendations for good hand creams / moisturizers? Everything seems to contain nut oils, Vitamin E or glycerin.

I'm drying out!!!

We use glaxal base. It seems pretty basic, not sure about soy however since that is one of only 2 of the top 8 allergens we are NOT allergic to.

what's in glycerin that we need to worry about? soy? (I personally use moisturizers with vitamin e although i know that's soy--i haven't seen anything without vit. E!)

I was reading on the website below as well as a few others and since I've always had problems with moisturizers. Thought there might be a connection.

Just slathered my hands in Druide Pure and Pur lotion and it seems to be good despite a bit of irritation, I seem to be OK. Their products are for 'hypersensitive' people and are wheat, soy and nut free!

Thanks--I did not know that! An idea about the moisturizers....I don't think that all vitamin E is from soy. it will be a pain, but you could call manufacturers. i've never bothered doing that for vitamin e, though.

You can make your own body scrub out of sea salt and olive oil - or whichever oil suits you. I use it every day in the shower. It's supposed to be good if you've got dust mite allelrgies as well, so you shed less skin in your house.

You can also use cocoa butter - it's a bit hard but it softens up with warm hands.
