|Post subject:||Sask again|
Just finished composing a letter to my MLA who happens to be the minister of health. I'll be dropping it off at his office tomorrow, with my allergic child as my able assistant. The premier will be in my community this week and if the opportunity arises, I will raise the matter of legislation with him directly.

I was able to speak with the Minister of Health and the Minister of Education regarding a Sabrina's Law for Sask. Didn't get the chance to discuss it with the premier, but he has a copy of my letter too.
We're likely headed for a fall election here in Sask. so I don't know how far it'll get, but it doesn't hurt to raise awareness.
Another thought is to try to get the matter of a Sabrina's Law raised as a resolution for discussion at the annual conventions of the various provincial political parties. These resolutions are brought forward by local riding associations usually for discussion and voting by the constituency representatives. If you or someone you know is involved in a local riding association, this may merrit some consideration. Sometimes these resolutions can have influence on the policies adopted by government. And it helps to raise awareness among the politically involved - again, not a bad thing.
