How about a good news story for a change? :D

A friend of mine, Anna McCartney (who was kind enough to hang out with Sara Shannon recently when Sara was in Seattle for a TV show about anaphylaxis), is one of the subjects of a story called "Parents Turn Anger into Advocacy - Their Children’s Needs Motivate Them to Work to Change Laws" in Seattle's Child.

For the full story, go to

It has some excellent tips about how to promote your cause. I really like the idea of a postcard campaign... perhaps for Alberta's and BC's "Sabrina's Law" efforts?

And lastly, there is an excellent quote in this article:

Being stuck in anger engenders feelings of pain, powerlessness and frustration. If we can use our passion to fuel our actions, we can dissipate anger’s negative effects. Action leads to increased feelings of control.

I am such a firm believer in this. Anger by itself does nothing. Action can do wonders.

That's a great article.

The postcard idea is excellent - could we use the picture of Sabrina from the AL article? When I look at that picture it is lile she is staring into my heart, I am always affected by it.
