My comment:
What they are asking for are Best Practice Guidelines for setting up policies in schools for those looking after students with life threatening allergies. In Ontario Canada, we have legislation that protects the student and makes it clear who is responsible for what. It is helpful for schools to be able to allocate funds in the budget for the annual training of all staff and teachers unions can back up the teachers by ensuring that they have the proper support to effectively assume their responsibilities. We obtained this legislation mainly due to the tireless efforts of the parents of Sabrina Shannon who died after suffering an anaphylaxis reaction after eating french fries at school. The cafeteria worker was not trained in allergy awareness and the fries were contaminated with milk protein as the tongs were used to also serve a food which contained cheese. How can anyone argue against quality standards of care?

Lol, someday I expect to be registered with every English language newspaper on the planet!
