The EpiPen recall has spread to the United States; there's a risk certain lots of the device may not activate. Please check lot numbers of EpiPens and EpiPen Jrs.

For details on the recall, see: http://allergicliving.com/2017/03/31/ep ... inst-list/

Has anyone else traded in their affected epi-pen yet? I went to a shoppers drug mart, and I was going to have to pay for a new one, since I had bought the affected one over the counter and didn't have a receipt. I would have thought the drug company would be responsible for replacing them at their cost?

The pharmacy actually called our home yesterday to tell us about the recall and asked us to check the lot number and dates. They said that any epipens affected by the recall would be replaced free of charge.

I tried a Zehrs pharmacy and the pharmacist there was lovely, replacing my epi-pen no problem. Shoppers may have just lost my prescription business.
