Post subject:  Glycerin Allergy, anyone?

Hi guys! I'm a newbie here, so bear with me if I don't know everyone. I was just curious to know if anyone here has ever heard of a glycerin allergy or even if they have one. I know, it seems almost impossible because glycerin is one of those things that's supposed to be hypo-allergenic, but I'm allergic to it anyway.

The worst thing is that most soap and perfume products (even some food products) have some form of glycol or glycerin. . . and I end up breaking out all over the place.

So, is there anyone out there who can feel my pain? :(

Try doing a search with these terms:
"glycerin allergy"+"blog"

I react to a common ingredient in toothpaste, but wasn't sure what it was. Glycerin on the skin, I don't react too. I wonder if glycerin in the mouth, is what I'm reacting too? :scratchy Thanks for posting this, as it led me to do a research which in turn, led me to a blog that mention glycerin in toothpaste. Xanthum gum I know is like led in my stomach, but I didn't think all toothpaste contained that ingredient, as I search for it.
