Post subject:  interesting find; chlorine related

so for a while now i've noticed that i am far less itchy after showering at friends' houses, even though i use the same products that i bring from home. after reading some of the posts on here about chlrorine, i began to suspect that, since in my town they use so much of it the water smells so bad it's gross, i can't stand to drink it, even with juice crystals. which made me kind of mad, but i didn't know what i could do about it.

anyway today my parents were shopping for a new kitchen tap and i mentioned we should look at water filters that go on the tap, or are connected in some way to the kitchen sink, and my father, by a complete fluke picked up a GE shower filter! so i looked at, and the price tag (twenty dollars) and thought, what do i have to loose?

all it does is go in between the pipe and the showerhead, like no plumber, no tools, just screwing (like by hand like twist caps going together) things together, it took my dad oh, a minute, to "install" and then i ran up to take a shower... i know it's day one but i defnatly feel a difference, usually after getting out of the shower as soon as i put my jammies on anywhere covered is itchy.. but today it felt like i do when i shower at my friends' i'm so happy.

so incase other people have missed this in the filter aisle, i thought i'd share the find with you. anyway, i found it at home depot, and it's GE and twenty dollars so that's not too shabby.

That's great!
I love to find simple (and inexpensive) solutions to solve chronic issues.

I had heard of those filters, but I had assumed they were expensive. Good to know! Thanks!
