Our little girl seems to have been battling pneumonia all winter-spring. She's had it Nov, April and again now <sigh>.
We likely wouldn't have known about now as she wasn't presenting so sick, but on mommy's (and daddy's) intuition, we took her in and also insisted on an x-ray. Confirmed.
I dislike having to use antibiotics so frequently, although it is warranted for something like pneumonia.
Has anyone seen or know of research on linkages for asthma or allergies with pneumonia, or am I being a bit over-immune system sensitive? If you have battled this, any advice on prevention?
Ironic, I was against immunisations, which she had anyway (she also contracted RSV/bronchiolitis when she was only a few weeks old - scary, so we immunised). Don't feel like those pneumonicoccal (sp?) immunisations are working so well for us...

daughter: ana for egg, sesame, dairy, pistachio/cashew/hazelnut. on contact. allergic+ to soy protein isolate, environmental allergies (e.g. dogs, dust mites). asthma. eczema.
son: peanuts, tree-nuts, OAS, environmental allergies. asthma.
