Does anyone have thoughts on the best bedroom flooring for allergy-prone, asthmatic children? I hear cork (the most expensive choice) is the best at repelling moisture, hardwood is best at warding off dust, laminate is comparable to hardwood but cheaper, and something called "luxury tile" is the best tile for allergy sufferers. What are the advantages of hardwood over laminate? Is hardwood (or laminate) better or worse than tile for allergy sufferers?

I just bought a condo and had laminate flooring put in both bedrooms. As someone
who has severe asthma I have found I have little to no problems with laminate flooring
and it is also easier to clean than hardwood and tile. Hardwood flooring although very nice it
needs lots of attention and is very expensive. Unless you already have existing hardwood in
your home I would recommend the laminate. It can be very affordable and look very nice in your home.
Plus it is so easy to clean and keep clean.

Ps: sorry about the weird formating. Using the blackberry for internet.

Moi: Pineapples, Turkey and Asthma.
Fiance: Ana. to Dairy, Eggs, Peanuts/Nuts and Horse. Also has asthma.
