I received a letter today from No Nuttin' (makers of dairy, egg, peanut, and tree nut-free treats) with a free sample of one of their granola bars. We bought their products in the past and really liked them. Then they switched suppliers and had some issues with oats having some enzyme activity that, while not dangerous or an allergen, can cause an unpleasant aftertaste. We actually got a batch of these and my husband and I liked them just fine.

Apparently No Nuttin' had to work for many months to sort out this problem with their supplier. This has really taken a hit on their business. They sent out free samples to customers to show that the problem with the oats is fixed and their bars are back to tasting amazingly good. I think they are a *great* company so I'm urging those of you who have used their product or considered buying it before to make a purchase to help them out. There are so few companies that cater to food allergies that I hope theirs can survive.

I absolutely *love* their chocolate chip granola bars and want to try their new chocolate, chocolate chip bars. Their granola tasted amazingly good to me and I adore their dark chocolate chunks. Where else can you get *dark* chocolate free of d, e, p and t? They also have some unique products like cherry chips or some such thing to use in baking that DS loved.

A note for those with sesame allergy--the new organic rice they use is manufactured by a company that also makes something with sesame. According to the info I got from No Nuttin' a long while ago their supplier tests for sesame. They do have a 'made on the same equip with sesame' warning so if you are interested in their stuff I would call and ask about this. Also, some of their other products *might* work for you (like the dark chocolate chips, etc) as they are not from the supplier's facility that uses sesame.

Hope no one minds me posting this. I am not affiliated with No Nuttin' in any way. I think they seem like wonderful people and they have a child with food allergies themselves.

No nuttin sells the only bars my daughter likes. I also buy Divvies cookies from them. I think it's an awesome company too, I would also urge anyone to try their bars which are so handy for lunch snacks and travelling in the car.
