Maybe this will help cause a little less fur to fly.

When a passenger causes a delay they can be fined. If they fine these owners, maybe less people will want to bring cats.

"You know the old story. Dogs have owners. Cats have staff," he said.

That would be beyond infuriating to be on the delayed flight especially if you had a connecting flight or were travelling with little ones. Completely understand mechanical breakdown but a loose cat... :verymad

Um food for thought! (man, does this imply that even when we are thinking about other things we are still in a way thinking about food) :freak
:rofl
....what if this happened DURING the flight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The cat might not have gotten into the cockpit but what about other ceiling panels in the aircraft! Um, a cat tangled in aircraft wiring...NOT GOOD! I too hope this helps with the cause of not allowing felines and other furry friends on aircraft.

Such a good point bc!!! Wonder if air canada will rethink their pet policy now?? I still won't fly with them given their unhelpfulness regarding food allergies so don't really care...

The cat escaped it's carrier...Hah! How much do you want to bet that the owner TOOK IT OUT! :freak

You guys are much smarter than I am this weekend - didn't even think about it getting out mid-flight or whether the owner took it out! How many cats are named Houdini??

Absolutely. Air Canada and other airlines swear a cat has to stay in its carrier, under the seat. But how can you ensure that? Flight attendants don't have time to watch a pet owner non-stop.

If kitty starts meowing, all unhappy about being cooped up, I'd bet the likelihood goes up considerably that the owner will open the latch to try to pull out, pet and calm.
