Dd and I went rocking climbing while in Toronto a few days ago and had tons of fun.

We went to the Rock Oasis and they were very well organized and safety conscious. They offer training, equipment rentals and even have afternoon kids programs or host birthday parties!

I love that this is an affordable activity that focuses on what you are capable of and inspires confidence while avoiding the entire food issue. Indoor rock climbing also avoids exposure to insects, grass and pollen.

My only issue was that this place was in an old warehouse and the building itself was dusty. A concern for those ith asthma.

I would definately recommend this activity for all ages. I even saw 3-4 year olds climbing with their parents! :banana

Daughter: asthma, allergies to egg, milk, peanuts, tree nuts, most legumes (not soy and green beans) & penicillin. Developing hayfever type allergies.
Husband: no allergies
Me: Oral Allergy Syndrome, Allergic to Birch trees

That is great Susan. There is an indoor facility here in Winnipeg that my kids have gone to for parties.

I climbed 'real' rocks a few times and was terrified - true sewing machine legs - but loved the rapelling!

me: allergic to crustaceans plus environmental
teenager: allergic to hazelnuts, some other foods and environmental
