Kwiecien, 50, has come up with technology to make the job easier. His company, Visdatec, has developed an application for the iPhone, called MyFoodFacts, to help people read food labels.
You use the smartphone’s camera to scan bar codes of food products. From the bar code, MyFoodFacts identifies the product from an online database of more than 100,000 products and delivers an easy-to-read list of ingredients on the screen.
People can set up an “allergen alert” for their food sensitivities, so you get an alert if the product you are scanning contains a potential allergen.

great idea....but ingredients change, especially what products run with. No app can keep up with every products changes.
