On the weekend, we were looking for a new place to dine and someone had recommended this restaurant. While checking their menu from the exterior of the building, it clearly states they use peanut oil for frying their french fries. We went elsewhere. Thought I would pass this info along.

I have been to Baton Rouge. My son has the peanut/treenut allergy and he wasn't with me. I am allergic to fish and shrimp...there was nothing on the menu that I could eat...unless you are counting a salad without dressing!! The manager had no idea how to deal with allergies. And, they do a team form of service, so you have a number of staff bringing your food, taking your order...

I ate at Baton Rouge tonight (without my allergic kids). The waiter made a point to tell our party that the french fries are no longer cooked in peanut oil, but are now cooked in vegetable oil. The menu has not been changed yet, to state this.
