Post subject:  Lootsalicious Nut-Free Ice Cream Parlour - warning

Just in case anyone decides to, like us, drive their family 1 1/2 hours into Toronto to try out this nut-free ice cream parlour on Eglinton West, don't go. We checked out their website, our kids (especially DS1 who is anaphylactic to peanuts) were thrilled to go to an ice cream parlour and picked out their favourite ice cream flavours before we had even gone.

Now I wish I had called ahead b/c ... it's not there. Apparently they closed shop and didn't take down their website or even put up a notice on the website. My DS1 was so disappointed. :( He really wanted to experience a real ice cream parlour that was safe for him. Oh well, live and learn.

I did email lootsalicious and let them know what we did and to please take down their site or post a warning that they're not there. Just a heads up.

If anyone knows of any nut-free bakeries or ice cream parlours in the GTA or, better yet, in SW Ontario I'd appreciate knowing where they are. Thanks. :)
