Post subject:  symbicort has lactose!

We just saw the allergist last week and he prescribed symbicort for her. I did some searching on the internet to find out more information prior to getting it and found lactose listed as a non-medicinal ingredient. The pharmacist confirmed it for me. We see him again in early July so we will talk about another option. He also mentioned advair which we had been considering in the winter during a bad cold. In diskus form advair and symbicort both have lactose. However, in the metered dose puffer, advair does not.
FYI - in case anyone has milk allergies and asthma.
