Post subject:  Visiting Toronto

We're planning to visit Toronto in a few months, just wondering if anyone has tips for me. We will be spending a few days with family, and then visiting Niagara Falls (overnight), and back to the city. We would like to stay downtown ideally, if we could find a room with a kitchenette and a grocery store nearby. Any restaurant suggestions would be greatly appreciated as well!

I haven't had to book places with kitchens/kitchenettes in Toronto much
My first recommendation would be to try AirBnb - we use them for our travels as we need a kitchen and it has been a lifesaver with respect to cost of having a place with a full kitchen (our requirement)
When I lived in Vancouver, I did stay at One King West when travelling on business and they have suites with kitchenettes for sure

In terms of Niagara, AirBnB still the recommendation...
I know many people do Great Wolf Lodge b/c kitchens but it is $$
We have had a bad experience at a number of places, including prime ones
As a result we have defaulted to White Oaks which IS a bit out of the way but in our comfort zone

Good Luck! Wishing you a wonderful trip full of fun and no food incidents!

Look for a Residence Inn or Homewood Suites - they both have apartment style hotel rooms with full kitchens. They are often found downtown as well.
