We have just booked a two-week trip to France for this upcoming August (our first cross-Atlantic trip with the kids) :) . My DS is anaphylactic to milk, eggs, peanut, treenuts, fish and allergic to soy. He drinks approximately 2 litres of rice milk a week. We will have kitchen facilities at all our accommodations (Paris, Cahors and Port Grimaud), and I would like to stock up on rice milk as soon as we arrive in Paris. Does anyone know if it is common to find rice milk in Paris? Alternatively, do you know if we can bring our rice milk with us from Canada? The other typical challenge for us is finding bread that is egg, milk and soy-free. How is the food labeling system in France (we are fluent in French)?

Son 11 yrs: Anaphylactic to eggs, milk, fish, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts and allergic to soy, animals & environmental + Asthma.
Daughter 13 yrs: No allergies!
Me: Allergic to animals & environmental.

Hi Fiona - hope that you were able to find your rice milk.

Would love if you could share some of your experiences about finding safe foods in Paris. My daughter will be going there with her school. Tree nuts are her worst allergens.

Did you see a lot of Nutella there? We were told it is used everywhere which concerns us.

Did you find fresh breads that were safe?

She will be staying in one hotel for the week so we will be able to research the area before she travels.

Thank you for any info you can share!

me: allergic to crustaceans plus environmental
teenager: allergic to hazelnuts, some other foods and environmental
