Just wanted everyone know that I appreciate your response. It is very conforting to know that there is somewhere to go...

My son had his reaction on Christmas Eve.We spent all that night until the next morning in the Emergency room. As it was happening I went into "taking care of business" mode. Once we were home a few hours I was finally "not scared" enough to let the little guy go to bed. We left his door open, monitor on and we were only about 20 feet from his room. When I did get a few minutes alone I finally lost it.

We did not attend any family gatherings for the rest of Christmas.I hit the computer and went into information overload really quickly. In just afew days I did have to limit myself to a half an hour a day just to absorb the information. I feel like I am starting to get control in my own home, which is a step in the right direction, right?!

I am still learning. As I learn more I do hope to contribute more to this forum. It truly is nice to know that we are not alone. I am STARTING to see that "we are a part of this, that this is not happening to us". Thank you for that.
